Each year, the Berlin International Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale, invites 250 young filmmakers from around the world and hosts them in its Berlinale Talent Campus, which is a program that provides mentoring, training, and networking opportunities for the selected filmmakers.

Ulan Garba Matta, Co-founder and COO of Weaned Child, is one of the talents this year, and she is one of four representing Nigeria, alongside the likes of popular actor, OC Ukeje.

CEO and co-founder of Weaned Child Entertainment, Umar Turaki, has won the Afreada Photo-Story Competition. Afreada made the announcement on Twitter earlier today. Writers were invited to write a story based on a photograph of a girl carrying a tray of oranges for the prize money of £100. Congratulations to Umar on a well-deserved win.
